I'm a small town Wisconsin stay at home mama to three boys and wife to a maintenance tech named Blake! I'm an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and clean living enthusiast who also likes to take photos and make beautiful jewelry! I have a huge passion for wellness, specifically gut health, and helping other mamas like me who are in the trenches of early motherhood and feeling "off".
Before getting married and before kids, I developed a desire to help people with their health after I started getting into more natural skincare, makeup and supplements. I became so interested and obsessed with ingredients, how they affect our bodies, how our bodies work, and how to help others feel their best, that I decided to become a health coach! I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, graduating in December 2012. I've spent the past 9 years learning, growing and experiencing my own health struggles, which has given me a more relatable story and passion for helping mamas like me..
I had my first son in August 2013 and then 6 months later found out I was pregnant with my second son! Having two babies so close together was so much harder than I ever imagined! What made it even harder was the way I felt after my second child. I didn't "bounce back" like I did after my first, this time I didn't lose any baby weight, I was extremely fatigued, my anxiety was out of control, and I let myself retreat to isolation. I have struggled since then to feel like "myself" again.
I knew being home with two young children was busy and tiring but I also knew deep down that there was something beyond my control keeping me from feeling NORMAL. I did not feel normal. I spent several years trying different things and going through different cycles of "diets" and workout programs only to end up back where I started. What I've come to understand is that I needed more support outside of myself, and accountability from a like-minded community! I couldn't do it alone.
And neither should you!
In early 2021, I went through the IIN Advanced Gut Health Course which has given me a wealth of knowledge on gut health and how it connects to overall holistic health. It's one thing to know things and another to put them into action! I've struggled with how to implement and navigate everything I've learned into my busy mom life, so I'm sharing what I know and inviting you on this journey with me! I'm excited to use my knowledge of health coaching and gut health to help other mamas break free from the things that are keeping them from living their happiest, healthiest life!
Your energy is depleted, and you either get the afternoon crash, or you're just running on empty 24/7. Your relationship is suffering because you're too tired and/or "touched out" by the end of the day. You don't have energy to put into making healthy changes.
The weight of everything on your shoulders as a mom, wife, friend, feels like too much sometimes. You're overwhelmed with the never-ending to do list and constant mess. You're overstimulated by all the noise. You're not in a good place to get help.
The stress from all of the above tends to fuel your eating habits. You either eat too much or not enough. It seems like no matter what you eat, it leaves you feeling empty, bloated or uncomfortable. You have issues with digestion and going to the bathroom.
The changes in your mind and body have you feeling down on yourself. You may be carrying extra, unwanted weight that makes you frustrated and negatively view your body. You blame yourself for the way you feel even though you're doing the best you know how.
You're afraid to admit how you've been feeling or to ask for help because you're just trying to keep it together. You may not feel very supported by loved ones in making healthy changes, or you don't have the kind of relationships or friendships that are supportive of your health.
Although, it can feel a little lonely, especially if you don't have the right support. It's rare to be able to get the personal attention you deserve and talk with someone [+ be HEARD] about your health + wellness goals. You may have tried getting help in the past that didn't stick, or had tests done that led nowhere, or maybe you don't even know where to turn. You're already juggling so many things as a mom, but feeling like crap shouldn't be one of them. If you're tired of dealing with all of the above, then you're in the right place!
